Weekend Recap: Red Tour & OBX Prep

This past weekend was full of excitement.  On Saturday I ventured to Philly to see TAYLOR SWIFT in her RED Tour.  I went with three girls from college. Unfortunately we couldn't all sit together and I didn't start taking pictures until we were at our seats so I don't have a group shot.

Soooo just about RIGHT before Taylor was supposed to go on it started raining. There was a huge thunderstorm and the concert was delayed.

Since we were at Lincoln Financial field we all had to hide out under the seats around the outside of the stadium in this...

Finally it stopped raining and Taylor went on! I took really awful pictures that night but we had a blast despite the rain!

On Sunday I went to my Aunt & Uncle's house for a CRAFT! My whole family is leaving for OBX next weekend and my Uncle and I decided to build a corn hole set for the trip.

*Disclaimer: He actually built the set without me so I went over to help paint!

He and my cousin even carved OBX 2013 into the top of the boards. SO AWESOME! We decided to keep it simple and paint the boards black and white. (Obviously if they were going to be mine they would have ended up pink & navy with chevron, polka dots or even a monogram lol)

I love the way they came out and know they will get A LOT of use on vacation!

Troeg's

On the Saturday after the fourth, BHB and I traveled to Hershey, PA to visit the Troeg's brewery.  We met 3 of our friends there and took a tour!

The tour was very interesting and we had a good guide. We even got to try some unfiltered beer during the tour and had a tasting session at the end. Here are some pics from our tour!

Once that was over we grabbed some (more) beer and food before making our way to the hotel we booked for the night. We ended up walking to a bar close to our hotel called The Sinkhole where we got some beers and finished out the night!

We also got Teddy a souvenir from the trip :)

'Merica & Beer

This year our town's fireworks were held the night before July 4th (not sure why). My sister's best friend in the whole world happens to live across the street from all the action.  BHB and I went over there for a front row seat.

On July 4th my grandparents had a picnic so I went over there for the day. BHB had to work! Boo :(

After he was done work we went to our friends Margaret & Steve's house for BBQ and fireworks.  Margaret is the same friend who made sangria for our herringbone craft day and... she made it again! She even made it festive but cutting fruit into stars.  That sangria is TOO GOOD.

We had such a fun night with our friends!!
