Mr&Mrs Smith

On Friday, BHB & I attended the wedding of our good friends Chris & Nicole.  The weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

I had a great seat to capture some good pictures at the ceremony.

They're married!

First Kiss!

As favors they had bottles of wine with their names on the label.

Chris carried her into the reception like a true gentleman.

Here are some pics from our table!

The only pic I got of BHB & me is blurry!

We had such a great time celebrating our friend's marriage. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Smith!!!

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day weekend this year, BHB headed to Pittsburgh to celebrate DFH's bachelor party! My family was planning a BBQ at my Aunt & Uncle's in PA.  For a long time my Aunt & I have been talking about doing hot yoga together so we thought that this was the perfect opportunity for me to just spend the weekend in PA with them since we already had the BBQ Planned.

I headed out to PA on Friday after work and on my way I discovered these...

Ah-may-zing!

When I arrived, the 6 of us went out to dinner in West Chester!

After dinner my uncle took the kids home so my Aunt and I could grab drinks!

I ordered a moscow mule but the bartender said that all of their copper mugs had been stolen so I would have drink it out of a regular glass. Disappointing!

After we enjoyed some drinks and sat outside my uncle came back to get us and home to bed we went.

Saturday morning we woke up early and headed to an 8am hot yoga class at the studio my aunt goes to.  It was my first experience with hot yoga so I wasn't sure what to expect.  The only yoga I ever have done is a class I took one semester in college.

It was TOUGH but I really liked it and would definitely try it again.

After yoga I discovered Vita Coco. I have heard of it and seen it before but never gave it a shot. The mango is amazing!

That same day my whole family met at my Aunt & Uncles for a bbq and I headed home that night.

On Sunday, BHB came home from DFH's bachelor party weekend in Pittsburgh. I got to hear all some about it!

On Monday, my grandparents had a picnic but BHB had to work!

Weekend Recap: 4H Fair & Engagement Party

This past weekend I went to the 4H Fair with my dad, my sister & her boyfriend. We had so much fun walking around and seeing all of the animals and of course riding rides!

Here are some classic Jess & Sarah faces on the rides!

On Saturday we went to our friend's Luke & Alaina's engagement party! It was held at Luke's parents house.  It was so nice getting together, seeing all of our friends and being able to celebrate together!

Congrats Luke & Alaina!

DIY: Stained Mason Jars

Over the summer our good friend's Luke & Alaina got engaged!

Their engagement party is coming up so I went to Alaina's to help her with the planning!  We made "stained glass" mason jars to use as centerpieces.

We used paint mixed with Modge Podge and very lightly painted the outside of the mason jars.  The tutorial Alaina had said you could also paint the inside but we were afraid we might want to use them as vases.

The good and bad part about this project is that if you mess up or don't like the color you can just wash it off! This is why we didn't want to paint the inside.

They came out great! I can't wait to see them in action at the party :)

OBX 2013

As mentioned not too many posts ago (but a year ago because I'm a bad blogger) I go to OBX every year on vacation.  I've been going my whole life with my family and so every year we either go with my family (Dad's family or Mom's family) or our friends!

This year we went with my moms side of the family and had sooo muchhhh funnnn!

Every time I go I love it more and more and wish I could just move there! *Sigh*

Here are some pics from our trip!

Road trip #selfies

For the first time ever we actually stopped at the Welcome to North Carolina Sign and decided to be touristy.

Every year we drive down the day before our rental house is ready and stay in a hotel.  Some of my cousins decided to come down too so we caravan'd :)

Fun on the beach with cousin RLD

I can't go to OBX without going to my favorite restaurant ever, Awful Arthurs Oyster Bar. It's located in Kill Devil Hills so even when we stay in Corolla, BHB always takes a drive down with me at least once.

Awful Arthur's Bloody Marys are a must!

OYSTERS
Since we had already driven down to Kill Devil Hills, after we ate we started driving through Nags Head.  BHB decided to surprise me and drive all the way down to Cape Hatteras to see my favorite Lighthouse. He's a keeper :)

BHB got me another TERVIS!

As you might recall, I got the same one in black last year...

I told him he could have that one :)

I also got a new Lilly Pulitzer planner! I decided on the bigger one this year to see how I like it compared to last years small one.

We had such an amazing time and I already can't wait for next year.
